The Civil Rights Museum Tour of America (CRMTOURS℠), a D.C. not-for-profit corporation, will create and manage a bus tour of certain civil rights museums and other important U.S. sites

CRMTOURS specifically highlights and explores the important intellectual, political, and spiritual connections between Mahatma Gandhi and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who visited India in 1959, “not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim.” The Tour will provide educational information on the legal, political, cultural, artistic and spiritual aspects of the American Civil Rights Movement which is very much alive and topical today. The Tour will emphasize the multi-dimensional, multi-racial and international aspects of the nonviolent movement that continues to influence struggles for equality and dignity around the world.
The Tour ends with a Leadership Academy in Washington, DC where the tour participants will be invited to participate in a lively discussion about their individual experiences on the Tour. The Leadership Academy will be led by a civil rights scholar, leader or student dedicated to the civil rights moment. This session will be followed by a formal dinner and the close of the Tour proceedings.
